Overview:
ProxyLink is currently hiring a temporary full-time Shipper/Receiver to join our client’s logistics team in Scarborough, ON. The Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate shipping and receiving of products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse.

$19.25/hour

Responsibilities:
Report to Warehouse Supervisor/Warehouse Lead Hand
Follow and abide by all forklift safety standards and plant safety rules
Pick and pack daily orders according to customer and company requirements
Load and unload trailers
Communicate with carriers and customers regarding order pick-up
Put stock away in proper locations
Maintain a clean and organized environment
Utilize scanning guns to complete timely and accurate inventory transactions
Report any inventory shortages or issues to management daily
Participate in plant-wide physical inventories when scheduled
Work with minimal supervision
Perform any other duties required by the lead hand and/or management

Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
Certified/licensed forklift operator (counterbalance mandatory; reach truck is an asset)
2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced material handling position, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Knowledge of spill cleanups and response, as well as WHMIS/GHS procedures
