About the Role

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Software Developer to join our growing IT team in Cornwall, Ontario. This role involves crafting innovative solutions for our lean manufacturing environment by extending existing functionalities, building new modules, and integrating various software systems. You'll collaborate closely with business analysts and other developers to ensure efficient and innovative solutions that align with business needs.

Competitive Pay:
$75,000.00 - 85,000.00/Yearly

Comprehensive Benefits:
Full benefits package, including health, dental, and RRSP, available after a 3-month probationary period.

Vacation:
3 weeks paid time-off. Generous vacation policy to ensure work-life balance.

Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours. Flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years as a Software Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design skills and proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Javascript, Python).
Technical Skills:
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
Working knowledge of Microsoft cloud architecture (DevOps, Visual Studio, SSRS, Power BI, Logic Apps, Power Apps, .NET Core).
Additional Skills: Understanding of manufacturing processes like supply chain, procurement, and warehouse/inventory management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Independently and collaboratively develop and implement new software applications, while also maintaining and enhancing legacy systems.
Craft insightful reports using technologies like SSRS and Power BI to empower data-driven decision making.
Participate actively in team meetings to define functional requirements and contribute to the design of overall software solutions.
Champion continuous improvement by transforming outdated software systems and processes into innovative solutions.
Stay on top of emerging technologies and share your knowledge to help us maintain a competitive edge.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies in our software workflow.
Assist with user support and training, including creating clear and comprehensive user documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex help desk issues related to software functionality.
Uphold and actively promote adherence to company policies and procedures.
