About the Role
Overview:
ProxyLink is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a contract position with our public sector client in Toronto. This permanent full-time role requires the candidate to work onsite three days a week. The role involves working 7.25 hours per day on significant projects that will positively impact the people of Ontario.

Compensation:
$95,000.00 - $115,000.00/Yearly

Responsibilities:
Application Development: Translate business requirements and functional specifications into working, tested applications.
Design & Enhancement: Participate in application design, development, enhancement, and modification for several applications using the Microsoft (.Net) development platform.
Interface Development: Develop new interfaces with .Net systems within Corrections.
Programming Specifications: Create detailed programming specifications, user interface designs, prototypes, and generate code.
Troubleshooting: Conduct unit tests, debug code, troubleshoot incidents, and manage defects.
Project Participation: Engage in project design, application JAD sessions, and walkthroughs.
Documentation: Develop required software architecture documentation, use cases, class diagrams, component diagrams, state diagrams, and testing documentation as per OPS standards.
Integration & Testing: Participate in unit, system, and integration testing.
User Interface & Authentication: Design and develop user and system interfaces and user authentication and access components according to predefined business rules.
Deployment: Prepare install packages and installation books as required.

Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft and MS .Net elements.
Experience with Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Presentation Framework, MS Web Services, Entity Framework, and Visual Studio (2008, 2010).
Experience with Team Foundation Server.
Proficiency in coding and implementing applications using C#.Net, ASP.Net, and Microsoft Web Services.
Experience in coding and implementing SQL procedures, scripts, and objects.
Sector Experience: Previous experience in the public sector is an asset.
